Organised by Japan Society North West, the day included demonstrations of origami, ikebana, how to use the abacus and how to play ‘go’. There were sushi stalls, kimono dressing and manga enthusiasts. On stage there were highly skilled displays of several martial arts as well as Tantara playing for the opening, the middle and the closing of the day. The space was jam packed full with people having to wait outside until others left to create space to go in.
