Tantara Taiko News
October 2011
We are pleased to be hosting master drummer Art Lee for a workshop in the Lake District which booked up well in advance.
May 2011
Three Counties Taiko Weekend was a coming together of 3 groups. Kaminari from Yorkshire, Thunderdrummers from Cumbria and Tantara from Lancashire. Mary from Kaminari first mooted the idea and found a location that was pretty much equidistant between the groups. Laycock Village Hall near Keighley was secluded enough for us to make a lot of sound without disturbing the neighbours. 25 participants enjoyed workshops throughout the weekend and each group did a short showcase. Many stopped over in local accommodation and a few travelled each day.

2008 Roundoff
The new website is slowly expanding and has provided some interesting leads.
In a late development we were contacted by a Taiko leader from Blackpool who we were sorry to hear was having to wind-up his group. He felt unable to adequetly store the drums and offered us first option on acquiring them. We have taken delivery of six fine drums and plan to put them too good use in the coming year.
